By completing this form hosts agree to:
- Have their contact information name/email address posted online as tournament contact.
- Meet the minimum hosting standards outlined on the hosting package
If multiple teams/clubs are interested in the same age group and division, hosts will be allocated based on timestamps (time at which application is submitted) and the requirements/standards to host events (ie. safety, 3pt line, two venues/courts, accommodations, etc.). Although a club/association might be first to apply, if that club/association does not meet the requirements, BNS has the authority to allocate the tournament to another club/association that does meet the requirements. There will also be consideration taken into account regarding the number of metro hosts vs. the number of rural hosts to ensure equity across the province.
Hosting Fee
A Hosting Fee of $250 is required to host. That is the only financial requirement of tournament hosting partners to BNS. BNS is experiencing a significant rise in competition costs therefore is navigating ways to ensure tournaments not only operate with high standards, but in a cost-effective manner. For any communities who might be able to take advantage of cost savings, namely with facility rentals, BNS will waive this fee. All other funds raised as part of hosting go directly to the team/club.
