Club Affiliation Registration

Thank you for choosing to be an affiliate club of Basketball Nova Scotia. We are continually working towards creating a positive basketball experience for everyone involved through our affiliate program.

Steps for registering a Minor Association:
Steps for registering a Senior/Adult Program can be found at the bottom of the page
Step 1 – Club Presidents or Club Administrators please complete the following REGISTRATION FORM online.
Step 2 – Payment: Club Affiliation Fee
Total Number of Registered Athletes | Club Affiliation Fee |
0 – 100 | $100 |
101 – 250 | $250 |
251 – 500 | $500 |
500+ | $750 |
*NOTE: Your total number of registered athletes may grow throughout the year as more programs are offered and restrictions change. You are only required to pay the fee that is associated with the current number of athletes you are choosing to register. As athletes are added to your list (which will be an online link that can be updated in real time) we will connect with you to collect additional fees as you move from tier to tier.
Step 3 – Once Step 1 & 2 have been completed, the Main Contact listed will receive a link to a google excel document (via email within 48 hours) to complete your Athlete, Coach & Administrators/Volunteers Affiliation List. This link will be unique to your group and can be updated throughout the year if new additions/changes need to be made.
Step 4 – Payment: Athlete Registration
· $25.00 per player submitted on your athletes list
All payments can be made via: E-transfer (preferred), cheque or cash.

· Must include a message to recipient: Name of Club/Association, Membership, Number of Athletes

Insurance
*NOTE: Contracting COVID-19 from a basketball related activity is NOT covered in your Basketball Nova Scotia insurance.

The insurance breakdown as it relates to your affiliation is as follow:
Athlete
- Athlete Accident Insurance
Club
- Club Liability Insurance
- Coaches Insurance
- Directors & Officers Insurance
Directors and Officers Errors & Omissions insurance will pay those sums that the insured becomes legally obligated to pay as compensatory damages because of a “wrongful act”. A “wrongful act” means:
- Any actual or alleged error, misstatement, or misleading statement made by an insured;
- Any actual or alleged act, omission, neglect or breach of duty by an insured. Examples are: A coach suing to be reinstated Acts beyond granted authority Causing the association to incur unnecessary tax liabilities Misuse of funds If a person sues the Board for an actual or alleged act, this section responds.

- Coaches are covered in your Club Affiliation Fee
