Jr. NBA Global Championships


The Jr. NBA Global Championship is a youth basketball tournament for the top 13- and 14-year-old boys and girls from around the world. The tournament featured boys and girls divisions, each comprised of 16 regional champions (eight U.S. teams and eight international teams) that competed in on-court competition and life skills programming at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando.

Basketball Nova Scotia U14, Division 1 boys & girls provincial champions represent Nova Scotia yearly at the Jr. NBA Global Championships. The Jr. NBA Global Championships are all expenses paid tournaments for winning teams, in the locations of the tournaments below. To get to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, the team must win the regional, then national championship tournament:
Atlantic Regional Tournament, Halifax, Nova Scotia
Nova Scotia vs. Prince Edward Island vs. Newfoundland & Labrador Basketball
Winner goes on to:
National Championship Tournament, Toronto, Ontario
Atlantic Region winner vs. Quebec Region winner (New Brunswick vs. Quebec) vs. Ontario East winner vs. Ontario West winner vs. Canada West winner (Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia)
Winner goes on to:
Jr. NBA Global Championships, Orlando, Florida
