Basketball is back!

This past weekend marked the return of Basketball Nova Scotia programming in the province, with the introduction of the Summer League. After delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Basketball Nova Scotia announced that basketball competition would return in Phase 3 and allow Nova Scotian basketball teams to compete throughout the province once again.

Thank you to all players, coaches, officials, and volunteers who helped make the first weekend of the Summer League a success!

To tip off the Summer League, U14 Boys and Girls competition took place in Halifax and Truro across three days of exhibition play. See below for the weekend’s scores and a new League-specific award presented by VIVEAU.

Basketball Nova Scotia has partnered with Nova Scotian beverage company VIVEAU to bring you the Summer League Game Changer Award – celebrating players who impacted the game for the better, on and off the court, throughout their competition weekends. Whether they were star players or supportive teammates, Basketball Nova Scotia and VIVEAU will be highlighting one “Game Changer” per competition weekend throughout the Summer League.
