Join us in welcoming, back to Nova Scotia, our new Operations Manager, Emma Duinker, to our Basketball Nova Scotia team!

As a young athlete, and now as a coach and mentor, Emma has used basketball as a medium for self-discovery. Emma attended Acadia University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition. She had quite an impressive university career, earning Academic All-Canadian status, 2nd team All-Canadian, and winning an AUS conference championship. Following her university career, Emma played professionally in Germany for three years, where she won two league championships.

After Emma’s playing career, she attended the University of Windsor, where she graduated with a Masters’ degree in Sport Management. During her time at Windsor, she began as an assistant coach with the women’s basketball team and served one year as the interim head coach.

Until recently, Emma worked in a number of different roles with Point Guard College (PGC) Basketball. Emma uses her experience from her playing career, player development background, and coaching to develop the game of basketball with passion and energy.

We’re thrilled to bring Emma back to her home in Nova Scotia to join our team with her wealth of knowledge. Welcome home, Emma!
