2025 Provincial Team Program Overview

Basketball Nova Scotia is proud to continue its long-standing tradition of representing our province on the national stage through Canada Basketball's age-group competitions and the Canada Games. 

This year, we will be sending a U15 boys and girls team to the National Championships, which begin August 4 in Ontario. In addition, we will be sending a U17 girls and boys team to the 2025 Canada Summer Games, taking place August 8-24 in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.

Financial Support

All athletes are welcome to attend tryouts, regardless of potential financial challenges. Financial support is available for those in need (including athletes who make the team and require support with fees). In order to receive financial support, please complete this form and we will work with individual families to find a solution.

BNS PTP pillars

 The BNS PTP is guided by 5 principles:

1. Accountability - Success and shortcomings of our Provincial programs are reported, tracked, evaluated and shared with our stakeholders, to foster an organization of thought leadership.
2. Inclusion - Our groups are representative of the best athletes across the entire province, regardless of geography. ALL athletes feel like they belong, regardless of location, skill level, background, or experience. We intentionally target, recruit, and create opportunities for underrepresented groups in Nova Scotia.
3. Integrity - We do what we say we’ll do.
4. Respect - We treat each other as we would like to be treated, with dignity, understanding, and empathy. 
5. Trust - We live by our values.
