Basketball Nova Scotia is using one common team-entry and roster deadline for the 2027 Provincial Club Championships, followed by age-group-specific seeding, review and division-finalization timelines.
For U12, U14 Division 2 and lower, and U16 and U18, all team entries and complete rosters must be submitted in RAMP by this date. U14 Division 1 has an earlier deadline.
The roster submitted by the applicable deadline will be the team's roster for the Provincial Club Championships.
Any proposed roster change after the team's deadline must be submitted to Basketball Nova Scotia for approval before the change is made.
BNS will consider changes only in exceptional circumstances where a rostered athlete cannot participate, such as injury or illness.
Any replacement athlete must meet all applicable BNS registration and eligibility requirements. Approval is not automatic.
Roster changes will not be approved for the purpose of strengthening a team or changing its competitive composition.
January 31 is the common team-entry and roster deadline for most age groups. U14 Division 1 has an earlier entry, roster and seeding timeline in 2027 because it serves as Nova Scotia's qualifier for the Canada Basketball U14 Club National Championships.
For U14 Division 1, team entries, rosters and applicable seeding information are due January 15. See the U14 Division 1 section below for the dates and reason for the earlier process.
Submit your team entry and complete roster by the deadline for your age group: January 15 for U14 Division 1 or January 31 for the other age groups.
Clubs submit seeding information by the published deadline for their age group.
BNS releases proposed divisions and clubs receive a three-day review and dispute period.
BNS publishes the final divisions approximately one month before each championship weekend.
Provincial Club Championship weekends are scheduled by age group and division.
The Boys and Girls U14 Division 1 Provincial Club Championships will be held in HRM on March 5-7, 2027. This championship will serve as Nova Scotia's qualifying competition for the Canada Basketball U14 Club National Championships, scheduled for May 21-24, 2027.
U14 Division 1 is being held earlier so the qualifying teams have more time to prepare for Nationals, including fundraising and travel and accommodation planning. This is a 2027-only arrangement.
To support the earlier championship and give teams time to plan, U14 Division 1 team entries and complete rosters are due by the end of the day on January 15, 2027. Teams competing for this opportunity that do not play in MBANS must also submit their seeding information by that date. BNS expects to release the seedings by January 25.
Early notice request
If your club expects to enter a U14 team at the Division 1 level, or believes a team may be competitive at that level, please email Basketball Nova Scotia as soon as possible at bballnovascotia@gmail.com. Early notice will help BNS understand the potential Division 1 field across the province, and help clubs with the seeding process. This notice does not replace the January 15 team entry, roster and seeding requirements.
The game schedule will be released by February 8, 2027, giving teams and families time to arrange accommodations if needed. The January 31 team-entry and roster deadline applies to U12, U14 Division 2 and lower, U16 and U18. U14 Division 1 follows the earlier January 15 deadline.
Timelines are listed with U12 first. U14 Division 1 follows an earlier schedule for the 2027 Nationals qualifier. The other championships follow the seeding, review and division-finalization dates shown below.

A common deadline creates a consistent process for clubs across Nova Scotia. For most age groups, it gives BNS a confirmed list of teams and rosters before seeding begins and allows time for club review and division finalization. U14 Division 1 follows an earlier entry, roster and seeding schedule in 2027 because it is the Nationals qualifier.
The applicable deadline establishes the roster each team is expected to use at Provincial Club Championships. Teams should enter with the roster they have used during the season. This helps BNS assess teams based on the players expected to compete, rather than changes made after seeding begins. U14 Division 1 entries and rosters are due January 15; the other age groups listed above are due January 31.
Any proposed roster change after the applicable deadline must be submitted to BNS for approval and will be considered only under the roster-change rules.
For U12, U14 Division 2 and lower, and U16 and U18, team entries are due January 31, 2027. U14 Division 1 entries are due January 15. Late entries will not be accepted.
Each championship takes place on a different weekend. The staggered timelines give clubs a defined review period and allow BNS to publish final divisions approximately one month before each championship.
After BNS releases the proposed divisions, clubs have three days to review their placement and raise a seeding or division concern for BNS to consider.
No. Clubs must submit seeding information by the published deadline for that age group. Late seeding submissions will not be accepted.
A roster change cannot be made automatically. The club must submit any proposed change to BNS and receive approval before making the change. This applies after the January 15 U14 Division 1 deadline and the January 31 deadline for other age groups.
BNS will consider changes only in exceptional circumstances where a rostered athlete cannot participate, such as injury or illness. Any replacement athlete must meet the applicable BNS registration and eligibility requirements. Approval is not automatic.
No. BNS will not approve roster changes intended to strengthen a team or change its competitive composition after the applicable roster deadline.
The March 5-7, 2027 U14 Division 1 championship will serve as Nova Scotia's qualifier for the Canada Basketball U14 Club National Championships. It is being held earlier to give qualifying clubs more time to plan for Nationals, including fundraising, travel and accommodations. This is a 2027-only arrangement. Beginning in 2027-28, the province-wide High-Performance U14 League will provide the Nationals qualification pathway.
