Nova Scotia Provincial Teams

Team Nova Scotia

Each year, Canada Basketball hosts a Nationwide competition for provincial and territorial U15 and U17 teams. Nova Scotia has been proud to field teams for the last 25 years. The provincial teams are made up of athletes from across the province and include our highest-performing athletes. Tryouts take place each year to select a team for each Summer. Our Provincial Teams are formed and trained through the Provincial Team Program (PTP).

The PTP program is built on 5 pillars that are the foundation of our program: Accountability, Inclusion, Integrity, Respect and Trust. For a full description of the BNS PTP Pillars, please click here.

U16 Development Training Group

As we progress towards the 2025 Canada Summer Games and work to improve skill level across the board for our basketball programs throughout the province, the U16 Development Training Group (U16 DTG) will offer the opportunity to stay connected to the Provincial Team Program (PTP) through development sessions over the summer with BNS coaches.

The DTG will be composed of athletes who will be developing for a spot on the 2025 U17 Canada Games team. To learn more about the U16 Development Training Group (DTG), please click here.
